Meet Our Team

Kristjan (Stjani) Fridriksson

Originally from Iceland, Stjani graduated from the University of South Alabama Physical Therapy Program in 1988. He spent much of his early career in California where he developed an interest in treating headaches, neck pain and temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD/TMJ). He completed a year-long course on TMD at UCSF and soon moved to Mobile to establish Grelot Physical Therapy.

Stjani has taken an array of continuing education courses and uses his vast manual therapy skills with most of his patients. He is currently the only Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist in Mobile.

He is the vice president of the Mobile Area Physical Therapy Association. Stjani's interests outside of work include playing the piano and guitar as well as spending time with his family.

Becky Parsons

Becky joined Grelot Physical Therapy in 2009. She brings with her 25 years of hands-on experience as a rehabilitation trainer for professional equines as well as the most updated training available for PTA graduates.

Becky has a bachelor of science in Geology from the University of South Alabama and an associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Bishop State Community College.

In her free time, Becky enjoys spending time with her family as well as riding her horses and preparing them for professional events.

Kay

Kay Roberts is the newest member to our Billing Department team. She is a recent transplant from northern Mississippi. She managed an orthopaedic office for seventeen years prior to moving to Mobile to be closer to her grandchildren.

Kay graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a BS in Business with an emphasis in Paralegal studies.

She enjoys spending time with her daughter, grandchildren and her cocker spaniel, Cooper. She is an active member of Threads of Love in Mobile and is looking forward to making new friends and experiencing Mobile's distinct culture.

Renarda

Renarda Durgin, our Patient Care Coordinator, is a resident of Theodore, Al. She is a graduate of Remington's College Certified Medical Assisting Program.

She chose the medical field as her career choice because she loves providing professional care for those who are in need of proper treatment, love, and support.
